Sometimes a particular politician suddenly becomes popular in various media, creating fads.
Many of these fads are triggered by a growing sense of expectation that a major social problem may be resolved, even if only temporarily, by the politician. Once a fad is ignited, most of the media will uncritically report on that politician as if she or he were an infallible hero, supporting the fad.
We need to be careful about those fads, especially when the fads occur at a time when important elections are being held. This is because if many people are swept up in the fad and vote based on poor judgment, it is citizens who will ultimately suffer.
The most important thing is to pay attention to whether the social problems that spark the fad are the result of the politics promoted by the politician or by the political party to which she or he belongs, or not.
When the social problem resulting from the maladministration of the politician or the political party to which she or he belongs is the spark of the fad, the fad is like a match-pumping scheme. In other words, they are just putting out the widespread fire they themselves started, and a firefighter who has stood out in the firefighting effort is being hailed as if she or he is the savior of the world. Simply put, it’s a farce. While it is obvious that there is a serious problem with the media that uncritically praise such a figure, we, as sovereign citizens, must also calmly look at the circumstances that led to the fad so that we do not get carried away by such a fad. If many people are carried away by the fad and blindly vote for the politician or the party, they will continue to carry out various maladministrations without reflection. There is nothing more troublesome for citizens than this.
On the other hand, even if the politician at the center of a fad is not directly involved in the maladministration that sparked the fad, we should not inadvertently ride the fad. We need to determine a politician’s true character from her or his past behavior, such as whether the politician is trustworthy or whether there is any possibility that she or he will lend a hand to maladministration in the future. For better or worse, one of the factors to judge a politician is whether or not the policies she or he puts forward are consistent. Politicians who easily change their words, actions, or policies to suit the public opinion of the time should not be trusted. It would be a nightmare for citizens if a politician who was treated as a hero by a fad later turns out to be a bastard who supports bad government.
Our society continues to produce various fads. We need to be careful about any kind of fad, but we need to be especially careful about fads that favor certain politicians, because the actions of politicians continue to have a huge impact on our lives. History has shown that many of the politicians who are popular during the fad period also use the opportunity to push forward policies that bring greater harm to citizens. This is evidenced by the fact that the lives of many citizens have continued to become more difficult over the past few decades.
Whether we will go along with the fads and continue to suffer, or we will sometimes stop in the midst of the fad and nip the suffering in the bud, I believe there is only one answer.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could support me from the button “Buy Me a Coffee” below my profile. We will use your support to take action to realize democracy.

こんにちは。
Wall Egg and Seeds
「Wall Egg and Seeds」が公平な社会の実現の「種」になることを祈って。

Hello,
The name of this site, Wall Egg and Seeds, was inspired by a speech that a Japanese writer gave abroad in which he used the words “Wall” and “Egg” to describe the relationship between the powerful and the weak, and I combined these words with “Seeds”.
For me, the “wall” is the mighty power that denies democracy. The “egg” is the individual who tries to win and protect democracy in the name of democracy.
Most people feel that when “egg” hit the “wall,” she or he just breaks and the “wall” doesn’t take damage , and while there are many people who stand on the side of the “wall,” the number of people who try to stand on the side of the “egg” seems to be seriously decreasing. If this situation continues, I cannot help but feel that true democracy, far from being realized, but will be relegated somewhere as mere idealism.
Now that many adults have become silent about democracy, I have started “Wall Egg and Seeds” in the hope that it will be an opportunity for as many people as possible to think about the importance of democracy and take a step towards realizing it. I am not very good at writing, but thank you for reading.
May “Wall Egg and Seeds” be a “seed” for the realization of a fair world!
